Why rely on AWS Cloud Provider?

Through our new “Analysis” section, we will look at all successful case studies of internationally established companies from AWS portal.

This is to show how classical hosting is no longer an effective and sustainable mode while self-scalability is an effective and efficient marketing operation.

Ferruccio Lamborghini’s story beginnings in the word of car. In fact, it is thought that Lamborghini has begun producing sports cars because Ferrari ignored him, accusing him of understanding only of tractors.

From 1963 to now Lamborghini is a successful brand that produces luxury sports cars. With the advancement of technology and especially the advent of web, even a “traditional” sector such as cars has had to adapt to modern times by having a website where potential buyers can, for example, customize the desired car model.

What was the challenge Lamborghini had to face?

Lamborghini website was hosted on an obsolete infrastructure. Bandwidth was not optimized and the company was already aware that maintenance costs were no longer sustainable. In addition, the infrastructure of the old Web site was not scalable, so it was not able to support new online initiatives or support an increase in visitors. Lamborghini needed to launch an upgraded website in a very short time.

Why AWS?

Lamborghini S.p.a decided to rely on Amazon Web Service because of its scalability, flexibility and economic benefits because analysts have the best IaaS platform in the industry.

Lamborghini has made the best use of AWS’s self-service approach to design and implement in a short time a new architecture that can recalculate resources depending on workload. The company uses Elastic Load Balancing (ELB), Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2), Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS), Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3), Amazon CloudFront, and Amazon CloudWatch. A TYPO3 system is integrated into a LAMP infrastructure (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP). AWS has provided Lamborghini with all the tools needed to create a highly available, secure and scalable infrastructure, providing best practices and guidelines for deployment through the Architectural Center.
